Senior LinkAge Line®

Before you sign a lease or housing contract, you need to call the Senior LinkAge Line® for Long Term Care Options Counseling, at 1-800-333-2433. The Senior LinkAge Line® is the Minnesota Board on Aging’s free statewide information and assistance service. Senior LinkAge Line® helps people and their families find local resources and make decisions about long-term services and support. When you call this number, you will talk with a specialist to discuss your options, and at the end of the call, you will receive a verification number. You will need to give this number to the housing provider of your choice.

ElderCircle

ElderCircle is a nonprofit agency that provides and coordinates a wide range of services for seniors in the Itasca County area. They also serve as a clearinghouse for information that is pertinent to seniors.

First Call for Help of Itasca County

If you need assistance of any kind and do not know who to call for help or information, you can call First Call for Help at 218-326-8565 or 800-442-8565 or visit them at their website firstcall211.net. First Call for Help is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to “provide free, confidential and nonjudgmental crisis intervention, active listening and information and referral services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to the residents and agencies of north central Minnesota.
